That’s exactly what Amazon Affiliate Marketing is.
What is Amazon Affiliate Marketing?
Amazon Affiliate Marketing (also known as Amazon Associates) is a free program where:
- You sign up as an affiliate
- You promote Amazon products using special tracking links
- You earn a commission when someone buys through your link
It’s a legit and beginner-friendly way to earn online—no investment needed, no product of your own, no shipping hassle.
Who Can Do This?
Anyone with:
✅ A blog or website
✅ A YouTube channel
✅ A decent Instagram/Twitter/Quora following
✅ Even a WhatsApp group or Telegram channel
In short—if you can influence purchase decisions, you can earn!
Step-by-Step: How to Join Amazon Affiliate Program in India
Step 1: Go to the Sign-Up Page
Visit: https://affiliate-program.amazon.in
Click on “Sign up” (use your Amazon customer login or create a new one).
Step 2: Add Your Account Details
Amazon will ask for:
- Your payee name (should match your bank account)
- Your address and phone number
- Preferred method to get paid (don’t worry—we’ll set it later)
Step 3: Add Your Website or Channel
Here, you’ll add the platform where you’ll promote Amazon links:
- Your blog (e.g., www.techreviewsbyrahul.in)
- Your YouTube channel
- Your Instagram profile (you can also enter “instagram.com/yourhandle”)
Tip: You can add multiple platforms later too.
Step 4: Choose Your Niche
Amazon will ask questions like:
- What is your website/blog/channel about?
- How do you get traffic?
- How do you plan to promote Amazon products?
Answer honestly. For example:
“My YouTube channel reviews tech gadgets and household items. I will promote Amazon products by reviewing them and sharing affiliate links in descriptions.”
Step 5: Create Your Affiliate Store ID
This is your tracking ID (like “rahultech-21”).
It will be added to all your links.
Step 6: Start Creating Links
Once your account is approved (even temporarily), you can:
- Browse Amazon
- Click on “SiteStripe” (top bar on Amazon)
- Get a shortened or full affiliate link for any product
Example:
If you promote a ₹499 earphone and someone buys it through your link, you may earn ₹25–₹40.
IMPORTANT: Your Account Must Make a Sale Within 180 Days
Amazon gives you 180 days (about 6 months) to make at least 1 sale through your affiliate link.
If you don’t, your account gets deactivated — but don’t worry, you can reapply.
How Much Can You Earn?

Real Example:
Let’s say you write a blog:
“Best Bluetooth Earphones under ₹1000”
You add Amazon affiliate links to 5 products in that list.
If 100 people visit, and 10 people buy one of the products—you earn commission on all 10 purchases!
